Newman International Academy Is Now OPEN for K-12th Grade Enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year
***All PreK students must wait until April 1st , 7am, before starting enrollment.***
Newman Academy is a first-come, first-served District. Please read the following instructions carefully:
- You will receive an automated email receipt to confirm TEA Charter Application submitted. This email will include instructions on how to set up your Parent/Guardian 'Warrior Enroll' account.
- Complete 'Warrior Enroll' Registration and upload all required documents. (Please see below for a list of required documents).
- You and your child(ren) will be contacted by the campus to attend a Principal Informational Meeting.
- Once you have attended this meeting and all the correct documents have been submitted, you will be notified as to whether you are being offered a seat at Newman International Academy, along with your start date.
Please note: Any falsification of records or omission of information is grounds for immediate dismissal and may prevent NIA from providing required services for your student. Please call the campus office with any questions.
Required Documents:
1. Utility Bill (proof of residence)
2. Discipline Records/Discipline letter from previous school (Pursuant to TEC 12.111 (a) (6), NIA (Newman International Academy) may deny admission to students with documented histories of a criminal offense, juvenile court adjudication, or discipline problems under TEC Chapter 37 A.)
3. Student’s Birth Certificate (copy)
4. Student’s Social Security Card/Passport (copy)
5. Parent/Guardian’s Driver’s License (copy)
6. Report Card (most recent copy)
7. Immunization Records (Student cannot attend without current immunizations or an exemption on file).
Required Documents (if applicable to student):
8. Transcript(s) for grades 9-12
9. Special Education, 504 and Dyslexia Records (Full individual Evaluation, Eligibility Report, & last ARD or 504 form)
10. Guardian/Conservator paperwork
11. Department of Family and Protective Services paperwork
12. Military Dependent paperwork
13. SNAP, TANF, or other Income Eligibility (if establishing free Pre-K eligibility)
14. Home Language Survey: Texas requires a Home Language Survey be completed for ALL students enrolling in a Texas Public Charter School for the first time. (This survey is attached to the end of the Enrollment Packet).
